Season for Color

This is one of my girls from church who came in for a
FUN,
FRESH
summer look...

(These pictures are al the"afters" we forgot to take "befores.") I'll work on that!
She originally had a light auburn color all over, with some soft highlights throughout.

So to accent such a cute *A-line haircut, we took her to a dark brown all over (*level 3/4) with a little darker level 3 underneath to create a casual *peek-a-boo.
Then adding a zig-zagged *T-Weave of blonde and dark brown *slicing, then we *toned it down to a beautiful warm blonde. Creating a three-dimensional haircolor.
With an added splash of the Blonde to lighten her up for the heat of the summer.
You rock it girl!!

Words of the Day:

By: ME, to help you be in the "KNOW"

*A-line: Haircut that is a little shorter in the back of the head and comes down longer in the front. Made popular by celebs like: Victoria Beckham, Jenny McCarthy, and most recently: Katie Holmes' new do.

*Level: The lightness or darkness of your haircolor. 1 being- Black and a 10 being- Blonde

*Peek-a-boo: When an accent color whether lighter or darker than the all over color is placed underneath the hair to create a "peek-a-boo" effect. The hair will move over the top of the peek-a-boo to expose the "hidden" pop of color.

*T-Weave: When you weave or slice in color from the front hairline to the *apex (top of the head) and then down each of the sides (parietal ridge.)

*Slicing: Instead of a weave a slice can be done for a more dramatic effect. You take a section of the hair and color it, where as weaving you weave out pieces to color.

*Toner: When you put a semi/demi permanent color over an existing color to warm it up, or cool it down. Or possible pull out a tone we don't want in it. Ex. If you have brown hair and it caries alot of RED tones, you could use a toner with an underlying tone pigment more ashy to pull out the RED... or in terms "Tone it down."

Now my friend- you are in the "Know!"
